One of the primary goals of the ESA's project
was to help children understand that they
have the power to make changes in the world.
Students in the second year of the Environmental Science Academy met regularly to discuss and determine
the theme, goals, and objectives of TRIP. They stated the main theme as: "Once the rainforests are
destroyed everyone and everything will be affected." Students determined that the central goal of
their project was to educate others about the importance of ecosystems and the preservation of the
rainforest through thematic interactive group presentations. They defined the objectives of the project as:
Helping children understand the rainforest and showing them that they have the power to make
changes in this world.
Making others aware of the constant threat of the deforestation of rainforest
habitats, and encourage others to take action to protect the rainforest.
Explaining the effects on the rainforest animals, layers, and plants if one aspect is changed.
Showing how the careers of the rainforest have an impact on our everyday lives.
