Jeff Gilbert, a coordinator of Living History Day,
gives a final lesson before students speak with
Death March survivors and veterans who fought
at the Chosin Reservoir.
The Living History Day was designed to involve all the students and faculty
of the high school. The goals for the project were twofold:
To expand students' knowledge of American History
To give veterans recognition and thanks for their service
The project integrated the history of the Second World War as well as the culture of the 1940s with lesson plans and reflective activities in all content areas.
