Community partners
Eagle Wing Productions depends heavily on partnerships with members of the community. Adults Other than Teachers (AOTs) play an essential role in the program, serving as content experts, advisors, and mentors. In the early 1990's Eagle Wing Productions was created as a way to make the school's existing video production program educationally sustainable and commercially viable. Initially, the teachers in the program sought out community contacts. But with the exceptional quality of student work interested community partners who now contact the program directly. AOT's provide a range of services, acting as job shadow hosts, helping with curriculum, and offering internship placements. Annually, Eagle Wing Productions uses roughly 10-20 adults. Some of the program's partners include: S.C. Johnson, Time Warner Cable, Journal Communications, Media Makers, Inc., CNN/Turner Learning, Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Media Services, General Electric Medical Systems Television Services, George Tillman, Jr. (former EWP student and director of Soul Food and Men of Honor), University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Dept. of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) School for the Future, Technology Colleges Trust (United Kingdom), and The Disney Learning Partnership.
